What floats in the air and glows red all over?

The tower is a place Santa can't miss!

Mmm we are loving the holiday music going around. This time of year is when we light up the tree to spread our spirit with Hollywood. Last week we had our annual Capitol holiday party full of Beatles Rockband and 70s/80s tunes. It was a blast, and while walking over to the venue, Brad was gifted with the sweetest new nick name ever, Lieutenant. Yeah, I'm a bit jealous haha. Unfortunately, our team couldn't get into the rockband competition this year, but we still had a great time under the disco ball.

We're now in the midst of Hannukah and have only a little more than a week left until Christmas and Kwanzaa, so if you're running behind on gifts, or want an easy way to get ahead of the game, simply pick up some albums of our EMI/Capitol artists or get to posting ShareThis links like crazy to win signed prize packs. They make for great stocking stuffers and are super easy to wrap ;)

It was a big year for our artists with David Guetta, Alice In Chains, and Katy Perry all receiving Grammy Nominations, so big-ups to them and to you guys for supporting. Alice In Chains was nominated for "Best Hard Performance" for their single "Check My Brain," and Mr. Guetta was pretty stoked and surprised to receive 5 nominations
while Katy rocked a nom for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Hot N Cold."

This past weekend, Pejman represented at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas show at the Gibson Amph at Universal. He saw 30 Seconds to Mars and Alice In Chains absolutely kill it. At one point Jared Leto ended up in the sea of a crowd being held up by fans on the floor.

Pej also met up with some great Alice fans and stamped everyone with a sticker.

Lastly, to help with your gift list, EMI is running a special contest where prize packs are awarded everyday. Visit the site below for your chance to win.

Keep up the great work teamers, and enjoy the holidays! Please take note that we will NOT be back in the office from Dec 26 until January 4 so if you need to be restocked on lifestyles, send us an email ASAP :) and stay tuned. We've got some exciting stuff coming your way in 2010! Woot!

30 Seconds To Mars

Hey Teamers!

It's been a while since we've updated you all. I hope you're all out there enjoying your copy of the much anticipated album THIS IS WAR by our very own Thirty Seconds To Mars. If you haven't already bought your copy and live in the LA area head over to The Hive to buy your copy and have it signed by all the members of the band. 30STM will also be doing an acoustic show following the signing at The Hive! Head over there today from 1-5 to catch all the action.

Here's a picture from last nights set. What are you waiting for?? Go get yourself in line and get ready for a good night. The Lieutenant aka Brad and Pejman have just left the tower and are heading over to The Hive as we speak.

You're probably wondering why Brad is now known as the Lieutenant aren't you? Last night as everyone at the tower ended work we all head over to Boardners for our annual Christmas Party and ran into some interesting Hollywood usuals who refer to Brad as the Lieutenant. Hence the new name. When you call the office to speak to him please refer to him as the Lieutenant haha he'll love it!

The Christmas party was great, this is the time where everyone lets loose and boogies down. The street team never disappoints with our amazing dancing skills that we showcased last night. Pictures soon to come!

After the Christmas party everyone headed over to Vanguard to watch our very own, Snooooop! Snoop always brings his A game at every show and never disappoints. If you haven't already bought his new album MALICE N WONDERLAND check it out today! I have that album on repeat in my car and we can't stop playing it here at the office.

This was a short and sweet blog but we'll be back with more Tales from the Street Team Office at the end of the week.

Much Love

Fried Rice Friday!

What's up teamers ?!

So last week, as you know, a nacho frenzy went down in the tower. Well, the special at the EMI Cafe today was shrimp fried rice, which was absolutely filling hence it deserved to precede "friday" in this week's title.

On Tuesday and Wed we had the pleasure of seeing A Fine Frenzy perform in LA and Anaheim. They're just a joy to watch and has amazing stage presence. The whole crowd was a sea of happily dancing, swaying, and clapping people. Ali debuted a song from their upcoming holiday ep, and announced that "Happier" will be her newest single. You can preview a live snippet here (sorry for the distance but the sound is great! :))

Today we launched our first of many #FF (Follow Friday) Twitter contests. Be prepared to retweet and get new followers. We will personally raid our cd cabinets and make an exclusive prize pack of albums for you guys. Consider follow fridays to be a free music friday kind of deal.

AmTaxi has a brand new official logo they just tweeted. Things are really amping up for these guys. Brad's launching a new project that will include a Warped Tour package so keep an eye out on that and definitely check them out if you haven't yet. They're totally reminiscent of the great rock band days.

Speaking of Rock Band, a new Alice In Chains ShareThis project was just launched. Chain up your friends on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc. All you have to do is post the ShareThis link to their new the trailer of the new video "Your Decision", and you can win a copy of the Rock Band 2 video game!

TRADE BARETTES WITH PRISCILLA
All you designers out there need to get on this! The latest Priscilla contest is launching soon so grab your clips, ribbons, headbands, flowers, and funky creative brains to get started. You may have noticed her passion for hair accessories in photos like the one below and on the Jukebox album cover.

Design your own for Priscilla to wear, and she'll trade the winner (which she'll choose) one of her own personal hair items.
And don't forget, her album drops in 10 days!!!
December 1 .. . and then 7 more days til

:drumroll:

DECEMBER 8

THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS! 1,468,800 (or so) SECONDS TO THIS IS WAR! They're still in Europe at the moment but who's stoked to see them hit the road in the US?! I know an absolute war will be going down for us in San Diego when the guys play here in December. Phase 2 of the street display mission has begun so make sure to get in your recaps ASAP if you wany anymore tools to be sent to you.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. We won't be in the office over the turkey day weekend so if your tools need to be replenished, get in those recaps and hit us up by TUESDAY the 24th. So enjoy your time off from work or school and take advantage of the crazy Black Friday sales... do some store lifestyles while you're at it since everyone goes on shopping sprees during the holidays. It's the most.. wonderful time.. of the year (pretend that was sung by Jared Leto and this closing statement will be THAT much more pleasing).

FRIDAY the 13TH!

AHHH it's that time again! Beware of any Jasons you know. Last year we had two of these creepy awesome days :) Speaking of scary good times, here's a late group shot of Saving Abel's halloween costumes

It's been quite the crazy week. Last Friday, 30 Seconds To Mars caused quite the buzz at The Hive on Melrose where they did a 3 song acoustic set.

Expect those videos up by the end of today. Also, that night, Betsy and our newest intern, Sheila, had a killer time at Saosin's show in Hollywood. The House was packed!!

We started out the week with a Monday night smackdown. Who needs the WWF when you've got an amazing listening party for 30S2M's THIS IS WAR. Jared sure is fearless in the face of a tiger ha

An army of over 500 fans and industry sergeants filled the Ricardo Monteban theatre just a block down from our lovely Capitol Tower. The first surprise of the night was being graced by none other than Jeffree Star's presence.

The guys debuted their 8 minute short film for "Kings + Queens" and were kind enough to answer some fan questions and celebrate a team member's birthday. Check out a panel shot

You can now view the video on
MySpace. To read more about the night you can read what the LA Music Blog had to say.

We've also been spending a great deal of time with The Almost. They rocked it out in A-town as well as LA with the Used. The show was full of energy and amazing suave head-banging-red-hair-flowing madness.

The next day they did a segment on E!'s morning show. These guys really LOVE cooking!

If you're a huge Almost fan, you now have the chance to win the Fender guitar used in the HANDS music video as seen here:

All you have to do is sign-up for the Almost lifestyles project and be the teamer who hits up the most stores.

There are lots of great new projects and prizes. Holidays are just around the corner so instead of raking leaves, rake up some cash by signing-up for the $5 lifestyle projects for Jaicko and Priscilla. Miss Renea visited the tower yesterday so show her some love! Even Denny's does haha. Before the Almost show on Tuesday night, we hung out at Denny's and were stoked to see the Dollhouse video playing on each flatscreen TV. Cheli even went up to the screen to twitpic it... probably earned some weird looks but it was all worth it.

Next week we'll be covering A Fine Frenzy shows. In fact, we have an early treat for you. If you haven't yet, visit the main home page and check out Ali's latest shout out to all of you hardworking teamers.

So what's next? Plenty of great STUFFing to fill your street team turkey with. You'll be fully satisfied with what this month has to offer. Sign-up for the latest projects

and enjoy your weekend and please don't walk under any ladders, open any umbrellas indoors, or make eye contact with any black cats that maybe lurking by. Make this 13th one of good luck, not bad. 13 is TSwift's favorite number and look where it's gotten her lol.

Conquer the fear. Seize the day! :)

Freaky Friday!

Ok, so it's not very freaky but I saw the movie last night, and to make up for not blogging last week, I'm using the title today. Hope you all had a great Halloween stuffing your face with globs of candy!! Funny how on any of the other 364 days it'd be totally absurd to go around taking candy from strangers, and yet once a year we go incognito from head to toe running wild in the street.

Anyways.... can you believe it's already November ?! Almost time for the holidays with friends and family =) Unfortunately for us and Lolene, one of our family members is currently missing! We just posted a missing baby sign all over the internet for Lolene's disco baby, Lula. Her brothers and sisters miss her dearly so check out the sign below and retweet it!

We also JUST LAUNCHED a brand new LIFESTYLE project. Be sure to sign-up for hers and spread the sexy peopleness around your town!

On Tuesday, The Almost's "Monster, Monster" officially came out in-stores!! Go pick up a copy now, and if you bought the pre-order, be sure to go online and download the rest of your songs. It's a great album, and I can't wait to see them perform on Tuesday. Expect some maddening twitpics from that.

Also, our My Favorite Highway boys started their tour with Forever the Sickest Kids last week. I guess some kind of bug's been going around because 3 out of the 4 band members are sick and so is their tour manager. They're still playing though so be sure to go crazy in the crowd and don't catch any germs. Hand sanitizer is your friend and so is SHAMPOO! They just launched a new "Make Your Own Video" lipsync contest where you have to be shampooing your hair. Get your golden mane all clean and shiny, rock out to "Say So," and upload the video as a reply to this one:

Run out to WalMart and buy the biggest bottle of some goooood smelling shampoo. You might need to make quite a few takes haha. Make David Cook and the rest of the boys proud!

Green River Ordinance is also back on the road with David Cook, the American Idol guy, not from MFH haha. Here's what they were for Halloween muahaha monkey and banana.. classic!

If you're in need of some feel-good music, close your eyes and experience what a PARTY IN BARBADOS would be like. Click on this link and listen to Jaicko's cover of Miley's song .. and a JAICKO SONG WAS ON!

Noddin' my head OH YEAH! haha It's always great to have some feel-good-island-getaway music. Download it free here courtesy of Jaicko's twitter: http://www.zshare.net/download/679967206a2eb334/ or listen it to on YouTube .

He's going to be hitting the road on a Westfield mall tour til the New Years so check the dates on his MySpace for all dates

And last, but certainly NOT least, we finally have new projects for

It's about time right? Her "Unplugged" album comes out November 17 (about 2 1/2 weeks). To spread the news join the lifestyle and online projects at the project page. This is your chance to get some brand spankin' new Katy postersand to win an autographed cd+dvd for free! Go ahead, paint your town pink! It's still strawberry season haha

And with that, have a great weekend teamers!

Beezy Times!

It's been awhile! ... I always think of that random Britney song when I say that haha.

Anyways, sorrrrrry for not keeping you guys posted. The office has been buzzing with tons of new projects and updates. We're all officially busy worker bees with highly anticipated releases, tours, and projects up the ying yang, and we couldn't be more excited!

Speaking of bees, you can now preview Priscilla Renea's song "Mr Workabee" and 5 other song from her album here: http://priscillareneamusic.com/jukebox/ Put another dime (or in this case a quarter) in the Jukebox, baby! LoveSick is one of my all time favorites, but Dollhouse is still spinning in my head. The Dollhouse music video has been getting major airtime on MTV... she's now the featured 'Discover and Download' artist following in the footsteps of Paramore and other artists that have recently hit it huge. If you don't have it yet, get your FREE download of "Dollhouse" here: http://shar.es/1EgxO and remember, Jukebox - DECEMBER 1!

Speaking of December, The Decemberists debuted their Here Comes the Waves: Hazards of Love Visual show on Monday @ UCLA. The artistic video set to live performance can be previewed here:

They're also playing in Australia and New Zealand.

December is going to be a hot month with 30 Seconds to Mars dropping their album a week after Miss Renea. They've been amping fans up with their #NightoftheHunter scavenger hunts. Keep up to date with all 30S2M news by following @thisisthehive (wow, lots of beezness going on). Last Friday, 3 iPod shuffles with the 'Night of the Hunter' song already on it were secretly hidden all around LA, until the band spilled and twittered treasure maps with Xs placed in Burbank, The Queen Mary, and the Santa Monica Pier. Today, the hunt goes down in New York City. Drop your plans, get on twitter, and get a free ipod shuffle WITH Night of the Hunter already on it. You can't get this song anywhere else til the album hits stores.

Last week, the band also shot their video for "Kings and Queens." Rest assured, 30 Seconds to Mars never fails to come up with out of this world ideas. This time, they shut down the Santa Monica pier and streets in Hollywood for the biggest bike ride the West Coast has ever seen. Think Spain's Running of the Bulls, but with fans on bikes led by Jared Leto.... and not being chased. OK, bad reference, but you get the picture. haha Here's a few pics I took from my friend's Facebook =). They filmed all day and night...

And in case you didn't know, they've been giving away ONE GUITAR EVERYDAY THIS MONTH. 30 guitars in 30 days and to win, all you have to do is retweet. http://thirtysecondstomars.culturejam.com/twitter

In other news, balloon boy is still... nah i'm just kidding, but as for controversy, Lolene's music video is still the talk of the town. "Sexy People" is getting played in clubs and makes for a great dance jam and anthem. She's currently popping out at night clubs across the country so be sure to check out her dates on Myspace and hit the dance floor!

And soon enough, you'll taking over the floor with Katy Perry. She just started recording the new album last Wednesday, and word on the street is she's been in the studio with Weezer's own River Cuomo. You can read more about it here: http://www.mtv.ca/news/article.jhtml?id=21341

Also, Omarion paid us a visit yesterday... can't say much yet but you guys can look forward to a video from Jaicko. He'll be stopping by the tower on Monday. OHHHHHH YEAH!!! ;)

Ah the weekend is ALMOST here! I'm going to be a Monster x2 and grab some lunch at the EMI Cafe.. meanwhile, you should visit your local Hot Topic and pick up a copy of The Almost's new album... you'd be a monster not to! We just uploaded a brand spankin' new video to the street team site with footage from their music video shoot, so check that out!

Til next time...

33..32..31...

THIRTY!! The new 30 Seconds To Mars album isn't even out til December but we're all already feeling like Kings and Queens. This past weekend, and today, the band is SHUTTING DOWN streets all over Los Angeles. "Who's gonna run this town tonight?" ... the answer is Jared Leto and and all the Mars fans.

The bike crew assembled in Hollywood the other night as they shot footage for the "Kings and Queens" music video, and at about 4PM today, they'll be taking over the Santa Monica pier!

Click on the picture to see more:

You guys are absolutely killin' the street display and share-this project!! Keep up the great work! We've got a very special treat for you 30 Seconds fans coming up.

The new Lolene music video for "Sexy People" is out TOMORROW (Tuesday) on MySpace!! Don't forget to check it out and have your own PDP (personal dance party). Then grab some friends and start a dance-off. The new dee-oh-double-gee (Snoop!) tracks are HOT! Drop it like

Music aside, the fall weather is finally kicking in, and we couldn't be more stoked. The office has been full of spook and haunt stories all thanks to "Paranormal Activity." Just the thought of it makes my hands tremble! Has anyone seen it? Luckily we're only possessed by infectiously good music.... at least we think... muahahahaha.

I think all this talk of ghosts and a possible creeeeeeeepy reality is starting to get to me. Staring out this window I see black birds circling the tower and dark clouds slowly creeping towards us.
Did you know the Hollywood sign is supposedly haunted by two ghosts? :shakes: October is making me lose my mind! Must be because Hockey's "Mind Chaos" album finally came out last Tuesday!! Pick up a copy if you haven't yet. It puts you in a much less scared mind set despite what monsters you may come across.

Speaking of monsters, The Almost rocked the crowd in Anaheim last Thursday and Cheli was there to see them perform tracks from "Monster, Monster." We can't wait for them to come back with the Used next month to get more of this-->
Tweet us if you're going to any LA shows, we'd love to see you! Tomorrow night Jaicko's taking over the Club Nokia Theatre downtown, and Brad's going to see Moby on Wednesday night. It looks like non-stop touring for all EMI acts this Fall.

OH! I almost forgot, Happy Columbus day haha.

Peace out til Friday!
