It's Just the Beginning...

Friday was the official first day of this year's VANS Warped Tour. If you haven't been following us on twitter.com/capstreetteam, here's a quickie to catch ya up...

All I ate on this epic day was a $6 hotdog and these rad? looking fries... you can find your own description but at the mo' they were heaven haha


Saosin is really killing it out there. Kids were moshing, crowdsurfing.. you now, the usual. Loudest singing I've heard by people not in the band
They usually do meet & greets after the performance so go meet 'em and Kristy at the Sao tent.. expect to see chalk signs Spray chalk is soooo much fun. I felt like a little tagger in the making haha.

Here are a few of the goodies we're giving out. Things change daily so be prepared for surprises!
Here's a look at our beautiful tent: Take a step in the volcano and you'd find yourself glowing red! Luckily no one was actually burnt too bad.

Seeing all the buses galore in the lot was quite interesting. Bands and crew alike have their own skate crews and even a beach cruiser biker gang. They just ride around the lot during downtime. Best activity, IMO, were the cornhole games. Who knew tossing a hackysack would be so entertaining?! This was one of the last buses to pull in.. so siiiick haha
It's not Saosin's.. could be Trouble Andrew's? haha not a clue but it sure is circussy!

Last Wed, the Sick Puppies' chat went uberriffic. Random stalker note: they ate Corner Bakery.. cookies, cheesecake brownies, sandwiches galore! Mark even took the whole dessert tray home.. he had a milk N cookies party haha

Waddup My Lords?

Haha Wow.. so sorry if any of you teamers got an awk call and were called "My Son" or "My Lord" recently. Please don't take it offensively, Pej is just trying to get his phrases out there.. kinda like how we repeat really odd, weird movie quotes for kicks. :-)

The SICK PUPPIES are in the freakin' Capitol Pound today. Live chat at 4! Don't you forget it. We're all trying to figure out what to do for lunch. In the meantime, Keith gave us this huuuuuuge volcanic red velvet cake to dominate. Just call us the 3-LAYER slayers. We're attempting to handle it, along with my left over snackage from seeing the midnight showing of Transformers 2 this morning. WICKED BATTLE scenes. We have weird eating habits here lol



Also, the new EMPIRE OF THE SUN music video is being uploaded to our street team player so spend your next 3 minutes soaking up the magicalness, my son. (Pretend I said "My Son" the way the big rat in Ninja Turtles says it rather than how Pej might be calling you ;)

Update! We're having BBQ! Oh it feels like summmmer haha.

OH! And Cap/Warped Fun Fact #5 .. we just got in over 1500 Capitol goodie bags dropped at our front door this morning. Be stoked! They're gold and black.. beyond legit hahah

In case you didn't know the PUPS are going to be in the Capitol doghouse ONE WEEK from today for a LIVE CHAT! So get your questions ready.. ask about the new Tri-Polar album, pet peeves, eating habits or just stop by to say hello.. everything's free game!



Also, we have boxes upon boxes upon stacked up high IN N OUT of our office.. mmm totally craving a burger and animal style fries right now haha.. k back on track .. we're being suffocatd by WARPED TOUR boxes! I've never used sidewalk chalk SPRAY, but I'm way excited to start pastelling the grounds up. Who knew such a thing existed? Kids would go insane in the membrane. Drop your Crayola 3D chalk, I dare ya. Our pretty red and white tent just came in along with our McDonald colored banner. SO SICK! Come out and support our boys SAOSIN at the show and stop by for some free goodies. Rehearsals are next Thursday, so I'll update and take pics for ya next week. Yes, we really DO rehearse for Warped haha. Kristy just came to town on Monday, and she can't wait to see all you guys.

Today is the first day in a long time that the sun has finally come out! I can't even explain to you how happy I am. I'm feeling cheesier than the quesadilla I just inhaled. Eating is good, kids. Suck it down while you're young :) In fact, go eat with My Favorite Highway while they tour. We're working on setting up some meet N greets for ya as they hit the road with The Cab and Hello Goodbye.. why? Cuz we Say So. Ok, bad pun.. I'll work on it...

What's cooking good lookings?!

My Favorite Highway shot their video for "Say So" the past two days, and also dropped by this beautiful Tower along with Priscille Renea this week. Check out the pics below. I think you're really going to dig it when it comes out.




We went to lunch at this place called Cactus on Vine St near Santa Monica.. such good hot sauce! You really have to try this hole in the wall place. This is pretty much the scene of this taqueria:




First time Brad took us this, we walked. 1 mile. It may not seem like much but that day the girls were in boots and heels. With every passing light he was convinced it was just another block haha. Let's just say we had a super long lunch period that day. This time we took a nice drive. 2 minutes. Much better idea haha.

Right now we're all talking about lightning // thunder stories. Apparently one of Mark's neighbours was walking the other day and got struck! That's such a horrible death, right?! Seeing lightning hit right next to you has to be the most thrilling and scariest moment of life. I wouldn't recommend seeking the bolts but if you need a life-flash reality check then it may do the deed.

Cali weather is going insane. June gloom is not my fave but it seems to rock Brad and Keith's world. Sun is sort of out right now, but I know, I know.. I shouldn't be complaining haha.

The Beatles catalogue is coming out on RockBand soon! Going to be so awesome to shred to that. ANDDDDDDD the SICK PUPPIES are going to be in the house doing a LIVE CHAT on JUNE 24!!! Mark your calendars. It's sure to be a fun time.

What's crack-a-lackin' teamers?

I hope you all had a great BBQ'in 3 day weekend. Today is Betsy's last day, and then she's off to New York then trekking thruogh Europe for who knows how long.. so.... get in all of your last phone calls to her starting now ! Time's a wasting ;-). Expect to be introduced to someone new soon, but B will always be here... in South Park form:


Everyone in this office had to make one ... small part of initiation.. but shhhhh (that's a secret) ! It's so much fun. I suggest you log on to facebook, find the app, and create one. Make sure to put "Capitol Street Team" or CST on your shirt then TwitPic it on over. We could make a cool little collage of all you teamers.

We're all GOOGLING ourselves right now.. mostly twitter accounts popping up and apparently there's a DJ Mark Moreno haha. We all know Mark knows how to bump it! :-)

Just got into the office ya'll !

Pej said the Rock on the Range festival was epicly wicked! Who knew Columbus, OH could rawk it so hard?! haha 38 bands, 3 stages, 2 days... no time for breathing apparently. They even had oxygen bars and a mobile tattoo shop setup. Not sure how safe that'd be but Saturday, Crooked X and Duff McKagan's Loaded hit the stage while Sunday was beat up by the sounds of Royal Bliss, Adelitas Way, Saving Abel, and Sick Puppies.

The tons of candy from Cheli's Mickey pinata have been devoured. I guess our office is full of beastly eaters haha. I think the candy got to her head:

Brad saw the Decemberists on Tuesday night and said it was totally refreshing, and almost fairy-tale like. He loved every minute and how the band told a story with their songs and the way rad backdrop that changed colors and images. They played "Hazards of Love" straight through and then totally killed it in the end with all the past hits. Being blown away is an understatement.. Feel free to experience it for yourselves on Youtube.

Aside from that, it's been a pretty chill week. Can't wait to celebrate this weekend! Have a magnificent, mischievous, mesmerizing, monstrous Memorial Day mmm BBQ!

Closing remark: Mark just turned up the volume way up for Stone Temple Pilots haha. His hands are officially in the air =)

Alas it's Friday again! We're almost half way in to the year, and we're prepping for all the summer tours. Get ready to see all of your fave bands hitting the road. Speaking of which, our new band MY FAVORITE HIGHWAY will be on the road with The Cab so check for those dates if you want to cover them. Also, come check us out in Pomona for the kick-off of WARPED TOUR. If there's one festival you don't want to miss this summer, it's Warped. The whole team's going to be representin' !

Lucky Pejman's out in O-HI-O for Rock on the Range. If you're in Columbus stop by and say "hi." Saving Abel, Crooked X, Sick Puppies, Adelitas Way and more are going to take the stage over the weekend.

On the online side of things, Cheli just restarted the PRISCILLA RENEA 'Hello My Apple' banner project due to some technical difficulties. Everyone's starting with a clean slate so be sure to hop on board and WIN a signed copy of Hello My Apple and an engraved green apple iPod Shuffle!!!!

In the office Betsy and I spent yesterday decorating for Cheli's Bday. DISNEYLAND THEMED! Streamers, Minnie Mouse ears, and more. We totes know how to throw a killa partaaay up in herrrrre :-p. Tilt your head.. it's way fun...


Happy Birthday Chelizzle !! Everyone's out eating the cupcakes from CRUMBS. If you ever get a chance to visit LA, Crumbs totally PWNS Sprinkles. We lit up the Red Velvet with one cute mickey candle on top. Such a great end to a great week! Spread the magicalness today haha.
